One of the most intense and exciting projects we have had this year has been the 10x10 project. For this, we had to create 10 films in 10 days over a period in February. We could do this any way we wanted to, and also had the opportunity to work with some sound design students and alumni. Some people went into the project having planned either some, or all, of their films, and others just went into it deciding each day what to do. I was stressing a lot over trying to plan my films and so decided to just go into each day unplanned. This meant I came out of the project with a really wide variety of films.
Overall I really enjoyed this project, but on some days struggles to fit it around the other things I had to do, like working. This resulted in some of the films not being as clean and polished, or as detailed, as I wanted them to be.
As you can see, for example, Day 6 was created in a really short time and I would have liked to work more on it if I had more time.
We also collaborated with sound students and I have a few soundtracks to go with my films.
I think the soundtracks really bring the films to life and I enjoyed working with some new people.
