As part of third year at uni, we had to organise and take part in an exhibition to show our work. this was a great opportunity to show both our family and friends, and also local industry some of our work.
We held the event at Lauriston Hall, and had visited other venues like the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh. Lauriston Hall was a nice open venue, easy to get to and also had a good layout with a kitchen we could use. Voodoo Rooms felt a bit dark and it was also a bit more expensive and we felt it was more achievable to get to that goal. Also, the lady was really nice who was in charge and she made us feel very welcome and supported.
We then worked on poster designs and logo designs.
These are some of the original designs which everyone contributed to, and we decided on the final one below.

It was voted for because it shows all of our films in the small images, it is very clear and shows all the information needed for the exhibition.
We then needed to raise money in order to hire the hall and get costs for food and drink covered. A few of us decided to host a post card and cookie sale in order to raise some funds.
By doing this and selling to family and friends too, we managed to raise nearly £200 which was the bulk of the money needed.
Emily then hosted a bake sale a couple of weeks later and managed to raise some more money, and then we collected donations on the night too.
In the end, we had a really good turn out and I was really happy with how it had worked out. We had a space for physical work and also a website (made by Julen - https://flipbook.myportfolio.com/artists) and it really pulled us together as a year group. Even after some minor difficulties regarding one member of the group, we managed to pull off a successful night and I'm really proud of everyone.
