Joanna Lamb was a close childhood friend of mine, who after a long, hard, and courageous battle with cancer, sadly passed away on 1st February 2019. Obviously this affected me a great deal and I didn't do much uni work for a while. However, she inspired me to cut my hair and donate it to a wig making charity for children, and also raise some money for another charity close to her heart. While I was getting my hair cut, I had the idea to make a film dedicated to her. I already knew I was going to do a 10x10 film about getting your hair cut and so I decided to incorporate this into it.

My film was a side project which I started in order to continue doing animation this semester, and also something to motivate myself to get back into it. I really felt like doing nothing and this film helped me carry on through a tough time.

I am extremely happy with the final outcome and it means so much to me. Also the music fits perfectly and I'm so happy with the composer's work.

She continues to inspire people even after her death and she will be forever cherished.
